Rubio Thanks Saudi Arabian Prince For Organising Talks With Ukraine

The meeting lasted more than two hours ahead of important talks between the US and Ukraine.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has already arrived in Saudi Arabia and met with Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud. He thanked him for inviting the States and organising talks to end the war in Ukraine.

This is reported by CNN and the website of the US State Department.

‘The Secretary of State thanked the Crown Prince for welcoming the United States back for talks to help resolve the war in Ukraine and ensure lasting peace,’ the report said.

In addition, the leaders discussed Yemen and the threats to shipping from Hussein terrorists who threaten ‘global trade, American interests, Saudi citizens and infrastructure.’

Rubio also talked about Syria and ways to contribute to a ‘stable government free of terrorism.’

‘They discussed reconstruction in Gaza. The Secretary of State thanked the Crown Prince for hosting the Arab countries and reiterated the United States‘ firm commitment that any solution to the situation in Gaza must include no role for Hamas,’ the State Department added.

CNN specifies that the meeting between Rubio and Mohamed bin Salman lasted more than two hours before important talks between the US and Ukraine, which will take place as early as today, Tuesday.
