He claimed the post of the world “caliph”.

On Friday, March 14, US President Donald Trump announced that the leader of ISIS in Iraq, Abu Khadija, and another unidentified member of the terrorist group were killed. In particular, the US took part in this together with Iraqi and Kurdish forces.

This was reported by The Times of India, citing Trump's post on his social network Truth Social.

“Today the fugitive leader of ISIS in Iraq was killed. He was relentlessly hunted down by our intrepid warfighters,” the US President wrote.

“Further, sharing credit with Iraq and Kurdish forces, he added, “His miserable life was terminated, along with another member of ISIS, in coordination with the Iraqi Government and the Kurdish Republic. PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH!” Trump summed up.

Earlier, the operation was confirmed by Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani. He announced the death of the terrorist leader Abdullah Maki Musleh al-Rifai, known as Abu Khadija.

According to The Times of India, Abu Khadija was one of the most deadly terrorists operating in Iraq and around the world. He was known to have held a prominent position in the ISIS command structure and was previously considered a potential contender for the post of ISIS global leader, the “caliph”, due to his high status in the organization. His elimination has caused significant damage to ISIS activities in the area.
